Shirin - Oriental dancer and teacher
The name "Shirin" means "charming" in Turkish and represents to me what a dancer must achieve during a show: charming spectators.
I started learning oriental dance (or as it is often called "belly dance") in Hungary in 2006 from Dr Hajnalka Vajda. Since then I had the opportunity to learn from important dancers and teachers such as Hossam and Serena Ramzy, Elisabeth Strong, Sharon Kihara, Aziza and Dr Hassan Mohamed and experimented various styles of oriental dance (saidi, khaliji, bollywood, shaabi, raks sharqi, etc.)
I am also interested in and practice other dance and sport types / activities such as classical ballet, odissi, Zumba, yoga and ice skating.
Since 2006 I've been participating in shows and competitions not only in Hungary but also in Italy, Spain, Serbia and Portugal.
I started teaching in the summer of 2010 working as a tourist animator in Italy and I also gave belly dance lessons at GCVR in Portugal in November 2010. I gave beginner and advanced level belly dance lessons at Feeling Center, Szeged from October 2011 until May 2012 and some beginner lessons at TánCentrum, Szeged in June 2012.
